Feature Story
Have You Used the Round Robin Feature?
Playtime Scheduler Has a Round Robin Feature
A few months ago, Playtime Scheduler quietly introduced a new feature: the ability to create a round robin tournament within any pickleball session.
Once you click into a session, you’ll find an “RR” button at the bottom of the screen. Clicking it allows anyone to set up a round robin tournament. There’s a tutorial to walk you through the process, and the setup is relatively straightforward. You can let the system automatically assign partners, or you can create the matchups yourself. There are also options for social mixers, singles, mixed doubles, and more.
Who Is This Option For?
I think this feature makes the most sense for larger groups that play together regularly and have access to several courts at the same time. It’s probably also ideal for those session organizers who like to have a little more control over what’s happening on the courts - you know who you are. 🙂
Personally, I’m not sure I’d get much use out of it at many of the courts where I play. Players tend to arrive throughout the session, and some leave early, which could make it difficult to maintain a structured round robin.
The actual setup in Playtime Scheduler doesn’t take very long, but getting everyone organized and ready to go could be a little time-consuming once you’re already in the middle of an open play session, and most people just want to get on the court and play.
Have you used Playtime Scheduler’s round robin feature? Or is it something you’re planning to try? Let me know!

On Sale This Week
1. CRBN X Series paddles - $169.99, was $229.99
This is probably my #1 paddle deal. CRBN is a recognizable brand among serious recreational players, and $60 off a $230 paddle is substantial.
2. Selkirk AMPED Control Invikta - $100, was $160
3. CRBN TruFoam Waves - $223.99, was $279.99
$56 off. Less compelling than the X Series, but interesting for players who specifically want the newer TruFoam construction.
